Most of you already know that less than a couple weeks ago I lost my mother. It was relatively sudden and unexpected. The last three weeks have been the absolute toughest of my life. I was not ready to say goodbye... I'm still not...
We decided that the "funeral" would be a Celebration service of her life. In order to pass the time I took it upon myself to find all the old photographs I could over the years. This actually became a tough task. Not just because of the memories each photograph sparked but because my mom, just like me, was often the one behind the lens.
I plead with all you photographers out there now. Get in the shots. Be seen with your family even if you hate having your picture taken. Because, in the end, all you really have are memories and photographs.
Joyce S. Eldridge, was a Christ Follower, Wife (of 56 years), and the best Mother (and Grandmother) God could have placed in my life and in the life of my family. She stepped into Glory on August 28th, 2013.
Please, take a few moments to look at the video below in honor of her life. I believe that even if you did not know her you will see just a glimpse of what a special lady she was.
