The Florida Camera Club Council has a conference each year dedicated to outdoor photographers. As soon as I looked at the list of special guests I knew I had to go. Today, I had a chance to shoot along side Moose Peterson at the Hans Marsh Preserve in Fort Myers, Florida. Moose is an amazing photographer and mentor. He answer any question anyone had and he did so with a smile. If you ever get a chance to meet him by all means take that chance.
Nikon and Canon were both represented and each had loaner gear for the photographers. You just go up and tell them what you want and they pass it out to use. I had real trouble handing the 200-400 f/4 back at the end of the day. Moose even let me shoot with his 800mm that had a 1.4 teleconverter on. That makes is 1000mm. The close up shot of the Eagle is where that came from. Thanks Moose!
The trade show itself was smaller than I expected but the quality speakers more than made up for it. Thanks FCCC for putting on an excellent conference.
