This was something a little different for for me. I had a chance to shoot the Trans Am Series at Homestead Miami speed way the other day. I had media access that was granted to SFNPCC members and as a result I was able to get very close to the action. In most of these shots I used a technique called panning where you use a slower shutter speed and follow the car as it passes. This allows the tires and the background to blur so that you get a sense of speed rather than viewing a parked car. This is a challenge to say the least but, like most things, with a little practice you can get the results you are looking for. Thanks for reading!
