Yesterday I had an opportunity to visit a rare Orchid that grows in the Everglades National Park. The Cigar Orchid blooms the month of March and I found myself there after it's peak. Nature it seems was not on my side as there little to no clouds in sight. I managed to get a couple shots from the trip but it isn't always about photography. While the images are not stunning I had the chance to see what very few that visit the Everglades get to see and I was able to document my experience. I will be returning when it is in full bloom and I have a full year to plan my personal assignment.
The Everglades National Park is a landscape of subtleties. While they may not contain the rolling landscapes of the mountains they have their own uniqueness... If you know where to look.
